The coral elements are executed with a high degree of realism: the sculptors used visual references of real coral to achieve plausible detail and texture. The depth of the relief reaches 20 cm, which enhances the effect of presence and allowed for the implementation of a well-designed lighting scenario.

About the Art Object “EGE Restaurant”

The bas-relief was conceived as an artistic bridge between the Mediterranean roots of Ege Restaurant and the futuristic spirit of Dubai. The wavy lines of coral reefs with detailed elements are organically assembled into a single composition, creating a sense of presence in the depths of the sea. The play of light simulates the glare of the sun on the water, evoking images of the Mediterranean coastline.
